Featuring a pre-screening talk entitled The Overlooked Battle: Illuminating the Psychological and Cognitive Repercussions of Struggles with Understanding Speech Despite Intact Hearing, presented by Ilse Wambacq, Associate Professor, Communication Sciences and Disorders at Montclair State University.

How do perception and cognition impact our understanding of speech and language? Ilse Wambacq, Associate Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at MSU, will lead a pre-screening talk that explores these issues and provide insights into how they are expressed in the character of “Baby”, the protagonist of Edgar Wright’s BABY DRIVER.

About The Film:
A talented, young getaway driver (Ansel Elgort) relies on the beat of his personal soundtrack to be the best in the game. When he meets the girl of his dreams (Lily James), Baby sees a chance to ditch his criminal life and make a clean getaway. But after being coerced into working for a crime boss (Kevin Spacey), he must face the music when a doomed heist threatens his life, love and freedom.
